The Transaction Project's 4th Annual TransGiving

Transgiving is a annual community event celebrating and supporting trans lives through love, food, resource sharing, and gratitude. In 2023, after navigating cycles of survival and isolation following Hurricane Harvey and the COVID-19 pandemic, Ke’lan Johnson started the The Transaction Project with the mission to connect isolated communities and fill in underfunded resource gaps for black transfolk through mutual aid. That same year we hosted our inaugural Transgiving celebration with the goal of creating a space of togetherness during a season that can be difficult for members of our community. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING This year we are excited to host our 4th run of this flagship event. We're buttoning up our festivities this go 'round, so come dressed to the 9's! Formal Attire Is Required (no sneakers, hats, or jeans) Our program will include a short revue show, our Trans State of Mind fireside chat (live panel), and a selection of local craft and service vendors. Dinner will be buffet style; Please note that we kindly ask that dinner service be allowed to complete for all guests before helping yourself to seconds. We are proud to announce Avenue 360 as the official HIV testing partner for this year's event! Free, private rapid HIV testing will be available for your convenience at our event. We are happy to answer any questions around testing that guests may have. The Freelux Project is our proud 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor and pharmacetical partner to the Transaction Project. We welcome you to partake in your vehicle or parking lot. We kindly ask that you refrain from smoking indoors or near entry/exit ways of the event venue. Drinks will be available and purchased using tickets. This will be a NO CASH BAR. Please be prepared to make electronic payments via Zelle, Applepay, or Venmo should you like to purchase additional drink tickets.
