The Sea Quill: A Night of Original Storytelling

Support fellow local writers and have a chance to share your work, at our storytelling event in Laguna Beach! Is The Moth in LA just too far? Can’t wait for a trip to New York for a book reading? Have a piece of writing that you'd like to share out loud, but don't know where to do so in South OC? We hear you! You are invited to The Sea Quill, Laguna Beach's new literary open mic! Please join us for an evening of original work: short stories, true or fiction, memoir, or book excerpts. Writers, readers, and listeners alike are all welcome to attend! This month's event will be hosted by author Dani Fankhauser (Sister Earth), and feature storytelling by playwright and actress Heather Tyson (Title Pending) and writer Rebecca Harris. We welcome you to bring something to share! Writers wishing to share their work can drop their names in the jar and will be selected by lottery. If chosen, each writer will have 7 minutes to share. At The Sea Quill, our intention is to create a community space to share new writing and stories. Please stick around after the show to meet your fellow storytellers and socialize! WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 11 WHERE: The Cove, 1105 North Coast Hwy If you would like to share, please arrive by 7:15 p.m. to put your name in the jar. The show begins promptly at 7:30 p.m., and doors open at 7! If tickets are sold out, please join the waitlist and we will email you if a ticket opens up! Want to get notified about our next event?
