Proof: A Midwest Lit Fest

On Saturday, October 3, Proof: A Midwest Lit Fest celebrates the power of writing that grows in the Midwest. Hosted in partnership with local poets Mitchell L.H. Douglas and Chantel Massey, the festival takes place at three easily walkable venues in the Old Northside of Indianapolis – the Harrison Center, Indiana Humanities and Herron High School – and includes: • A book fair with local booksellers • Author talks and readings • Workshops led by experienced writers (free, but additional registration required) • Conversations about writing in and about the Midwest • Family-friendly activities • Opportunities to connect with publishers and literary magazines • Food trucks, music, games and prizes We hope you'll join us for this free celebration of reading, writing, and creating—proof that the literary Midwest is thriving!
