Full description from organizer

Celebrate the Hunter Full Moon with two desert soundbaths, cacao, sweet & savory treats, and guided stargazing beneath the Joshua Tree sky. ✨ Full Moon Sound Bath near Joshua Tree Nat'l Park Join us for an unforgettable evening of deep relaxation, healing sound, cacao, and stargazing near Joshua Tree National Park. This serene outdoor gathering will take place beneath the Full Hunter Moon, creating a beautiful backdrop for inner stillness, connection, and setting intentions for the season ahead. The Hunter Moon traditionally follows the Harvest Moon. Historically, it marked a time when communities turned from gathering the harvest toward preparation for the colder months ahead. Symbolically, it offers us an opportunity to explore focus, readiness, reflection, and letting go of what we no longer need. We'll gather at 5:30 PM, while the desert is still illuminated by the warm light of late afternoon. Find a comfortable place, meet your fellow stargazers, and watch the colors begin to change across the rocks and Joshua trees. As the Moon rises, we'll take some time to enjoy the view and capture a few memorable Full Moon photographs among the Joshua trees. As twilight arrives, we'll settle in for our first soundbath, surrounded by the quiet spaciousness of the desert. Then we'll take a break to share, savory and sweet snacks, and refreshments and a Cacao Ceremony while turning our attention to the Hunter Moon and the emerging night sky. We'll hear stories of the Full Moon, explore some of the constellations overhead, and reflect on the meaning of the Hunter Moon: What are we seeking? What deserves our attention? What do we want to carry forward? And what are we ready to leave behind? Then we'll settle back beneath the open sky for our second soundbath, allowing the resonant tones of Tibetan andy Crystal bowls, chimes, gong, and harmonic sounds to carry us deeper into the evening. ✨ Special Guest: The Sound Fairy ✨ Evening Flow 5:30 PM | Arrival & Settling In Arrive while there is still daylight, find your place, meet the group, and enjoy the changing colors of the high desert. 5:45–6:15 PM | Full Moon Photo Opportunity Watch the Hunter Moon rise over the desert and take some beautiful photographs among the Joshua trees. 6:15–6:55 PM | Hunter Moon Soundbath I Our first sound journey with Tibetan bowls, chimes, gong, and harmonic tones as daylight gradually gives way to twilight. 6:55–7:35 PM | Cacao Ceremony, Refreshments & Stargazing Enjoy warm cacao along with a selection of savory and sweet snacks. We'll explore the Hunter Moon, hear lunar stories and traditions, and begin our narrated journey through the night sky. 7:35–8:20 PM | Hunter Moon Soundbath II Settle back into your chair, mat, or blanket for a second, deeper sound journey beneath the Full Moon and desert sky. 8:20–8:30 PM | Quiet Closing & Night Sky We'll end gently beneath the stars, with a few final moments to simply look upward and take in the desert night. 🏹 The Hunter Moon The Hunter Moon is traditionally the full Moon following the Harvest Moon. Its name is associated with the time of year when the harvest had been gathered and people prepared for the colder season ahead. For our evening, we'll use the Hunter Moon as a personal metaphor—a time to become more intentional about what we're seeking, what deserves our energy, and what we want to carry with us into the final months of the year. It can also be a time to release what has completed its purpose and create space for what comes next. ✨ What You'll Experience • 🌕 Two outdoor soundbaths beneath the Full Hunter Moon • 🔔 Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, gong & harmonic tones • ☕ Hunter Moon cacao ceremony • 🥨 Savory & sweet snacks • 🫖 Refreshments • 🔭 Guided stargazing and live night-sky interpretation • 📖 Full Moon stories and traditions • ✨ Intention setting, reflection & connection • 🧚 Special Guest: The Sound Fairy • 🌵 A relaxed evening of community in the high desert 🧘 What to Bring Bring whatever will make you warm and comfortable beneath the stars: Zero-gravity camp chair or yoga mat • blankets • pillows • beanie • warm layers • water Zero-gravity chairs are especially nice for this event because you'll be able to recline during the soundbaths and then simply open your eyes to enjoy the Moon and stars above.
