Weaving Workshop for Kids

Learn how to weave using a simple metal loom and crochet hook. Take home your very own woven coaster. All supplies included. Rancho Los Alamitos presents Weaving Workshop for Kids Saturday, November 14 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM $20 for a child and guardian ticket, $15 for members; $10 for additional child ticket Inspired by our historic kitchen with woven items, learn the skill of weaving to create your very own coaster. Each child will be provided their own loom and textile materials to make a coaster to take home. This is fun and analog way to further refine motor skills and express creativity in a tactile way. We ask that each child be accompanied by their guardian but the project will be lead by the child. All supplies will be provided and no prior experience is necessary. Participants will be able to take home one coaster and the sources to buy the weaving materials will be provided, too. Looms to take home will only be for sale in advance through this site. This workshop will be held in indoors. Space is limited. Recommended for children 7 - 14 years old. Please reach out with any questions to [email protected] or at 562.431.3541.
