Ocean of Stars: Storytime & Signing with Rebecca Rebouché at Lemuria Books

A morning storytime and signing with artist Rebecca Rebouché, celebrating Ocean of Stars at Lemuria Books in Jackson. Before there was the world we know, there was only silence and shimmer. Join artist Rebecca Rebouché for a morning storytime and book signing celebrating Ocean of Stars, the new picture book she illustrated for author Azita Ardakani (Enchanted Lion Books, 2026). Ocean of Stars is a lyrical telling of how everything comes to be: light born from fire, water gathered from stars, and life rising where the two meet, until the living world begins to know itself through us. Part poem and part lullaby, it is a story for wondering children and philosophical grown-ups alike, made to be read aloud and kept close. Rebecca will read from the book, share a glimpse into the paintings behind its pages, and sign copies for families and readers. About the illustrator Rebecca Rebouché is a Louisiana-born painter whose surreal, emotionally rich work explores the poetry of the natural world. Her paintings have been exhibited internationally and are held in museum and private collections around the world. About the author Azita Ardakani is a writer, herbalist, and nature-based strategist whose work explores kinship, consciousness, and the intelligence of living systems.
