ASI Drone Extravaganza

Ready to fly? Join us for an afternoon of drones, technology, competition, and community! Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) invites you to the ASI Drone Extravaganza, an interactive community event bringing together students, educators, aviation programs, drone clubs, industry professionals, and drone enthusiasts for an afternoon dedicated to all things drones. About the Drone Extravaganza Earlier this year, the NDIA First Coast Chapter hosted its inaugural Drone Challenge, where local high school teams combined engineering, problem-solving, and piloting skills to compete. Students reverse engineered a small drone kit, optimized their designs, presented the engineering decisions behind their work, and then put those designs to the test—flying against the clock through an obstacle course and competing head-to-head. The ASI Drone Extravaganza builds on the excitement and momentum of that challenge while opening the experience to the broader community as we look ahead to the 2027 NDIA First Coast Drone Challenge. What to Expect Come spend the afternoon with us and enjoy: • 🚁 Drone flying and friendly competition • 🏁 Drone course activities • 🎵 Music • 🍴 Food truck • 🛠️ Technology and industry engagement • 🤝 Opportunities to meet organizations and professionals working with drones and related technologies • 🎓 Connections to aviation, engineering, STEM, and potential career pathways Whether you're an experienced drone pilot, a student interested in aviation or engineering, part of a drone club, or simply curious about drone technology, you are welcome to join us. Students & Schools We especially encourage high school engineering and aviation academies, STEM programs, drone clubs, educators, and students to attend. This is an opportunity to fly, learn, meet others with similar interests, and discover how drone and aviation technologies are being used beyond the classroom. Industry & Community Organizations We’re also inviting companies and organizations to participate and engage with attendees. Organizations can showcase their capabilities, equipment, technology, demonstrations, career opportunities, or other information and help students and community members see how drones and related technologies are being used in real-world environments. Interested in having your organization participate? Contact Derreck Martell: 📧 [email protected] Open to Everyone You don't have to be a drone expert to participate! Bring your interest, curiosity, and enthusiasm and come spend the afternoon with ASI and the Jacksonville drone community. Register today and join us for the ASI Drone Extravaganza!
