This class is designed around building a half-scale cabinet, allowing students to complete the entire project during the workshop while creating a practical reference model they can take home. The scaled-down cabinet showcases the same construction methods used in full-size cabinetry, making it an excellent guide for building larger cabinets on your own. Day 1: Cabinet Carcass Construction Participants will learn how to accurately measure, cut, and assemble a cabinet carcass using pocket-hole joinery. Topics include material selection, layout, assembly techniques, and tips for building square, sturdy cabinet boxes that form the foundation of any successful cabinetry project. Day 2: Drawers & Cabinet Doors The second session focuses on building and fitting cabinet drawers, followed by the construction of traditional rail-and-stile cabinet doors. Students will learn door assembly techniques, drawer construction methods, and best practices for achieving proper fit, alignment, and smooth operation.
