Hanna Park Outing - Florida Young Birders Club (NE Florida Chapter)

Calling all young birders! Join us for an exciting outing at Hanna Park! Duval Audubon Society | Florida Young Birders Club Hanna Park Birding Outing Duval Audubon Society is sponsoring a birding outing for the Florida Young Birders Club (FYBC) - Northeast Florida Chapter at Hanna Park on Saturday, September 19th from 8-10am. FYBC is a membership organization geared towards young birders ages 9-17, but you do not need to be a member to go birding with us for this outing. This walk will be led by youth leader Will Misner, President of the FYBC-Northeast Florida Chapter, and David Doran, Duval Audubon Society's Director of Education and Youth Outreach. Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park features maritime hammock, freshwater lakes, coastal dunes, and 1.5 miles of Atlantic beach. It offers excellent birding opportunities in the beginning of Fall migration, with a variety of shorebirds, wading birds, raptors, and songbirds found throughout its diverse habitats. Register below to connect with other young birders in Northeast Florida! Please plan to have at least one adult joining each young birder or group of young birders who are signing up together. You will be asked to list all young birder(s )and adult(s) in your registration; you may relist the adult's email if a young birder does not have an email or prefers not to share it. What to Bring: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes to bird along the trails. Bring your binoculars if you have them, water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and snacks. THE HANNA PARK ENTRANCE FEE IS $5.00 PER CAR UP TO SIX PEOPLE. Please let us know if this is cost prohibitive for your family.
