Woodworking 101 & Shop Safety Learn the basics to get you started on your woodworking projects, including the when and how to safely use large power tools. This class takes you through the woodshop and lets you put your hands on many of the power tools that you could use while woodworking. We will discuss the Tablesaw, Bandsaw, Jointer, Router, Sander, Planer, and Dust Collection and you'll get to work with some of these tools. If you have been looking for a BEGINNING WOODWORKING BOOT CAMP class, look no further... This is the class for you! This is a hands on class so be ready to have some fun. Completion of this course will prepare you to move on to more advanced projects. This is a comprehensive 5 hour class with a 30 minute lunch break. This is an extremely popular class, be sure to sign up early! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation.
