The Distant Whistle is happy to welcome Tim Velez back to the taproom for a night of live music! Tim Velez is a native Michigan boy from Brandywine who started playing venues at 16. Tim went to the Valparaiso Music School for 4 1/2 years, and spent 15 years as part of a 7 piece rock band out of Chicago and has been a solo artist since 1993. With trained vocals and years of experience playing piano and guitar, and a musical range from classic rock and country to today's pop and R&B, he's got something for everyone to enjoy! Travelling everywhere from Minnesota to Florida, he performs island tunes every year in Florida from November through January. He was the first musician to work with the Fogelberg family and play tribute concerts for Dan Fogelberg. Back home now in LaPorte after 7 years of music in Sarasota, Florida, Tim still brings down the house everywhere he goes!
