Beginner Bookbinding Workshop

This class is produced by by Greenhouse Print Space, and hosted at Kansas City Artists Coalition Learn two practical, approachable bookbinding techniques in this hands-on introductory workshop: pamphlet stitch and soft cover long stitch. Instructor Thayer N.G. Bray will guide participants step by step through each sewing and binding method, with plenty of time to work through the process and ask questions. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with two handmade books that you bound yourself, along with an instruction guide you can use for future bookbinding projects. Supplies: All necessary materials will be provided, including paper, cardstock, thread, needles, awls, folding tools, and a small selection of book cloth and binding materials.
