Give Them Their Flowers: A Trans Day of Remembrance Celebration

Join TWOCC for an evening of remembrance, good food, art, music, and community as we honor the lives we've lost and celebrate the people who Give Them Their FlowersA Trans Day of Remembrance Celebration Every November 20, Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) honors transgender people whose lives have been lost to anti-transgender violence. This year, Trans Women of Color Collective (TWOCC) is doing something a little different. Along with remembering those we've lost, we want to celebrate the people who are still here. Too often, we wait until someone is gone to recognize their gifts and tell them how much they mean to us. Give Them Their Flowers brings our community together for an evening of remembrance, dinner, music, art, and performances featuring Two-Spirit, transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse talent. We'll also pay special tribute to Stacey Isis McClendon, honoring her life and legacy. Dinner will be prepared by Korea Seoul Kitchen. Friday, November 20, 2026, 6–9 p.m. Our Spot KC Navigation Center 2810 E. 80th St., Kansas City, MO 64132 We owe it to those we've lost to remember them, and to those still here to give them their flowers while they can receive them. Admission is free, and dinner is provided. Optional donations are appreciated but never required. TWOCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
