Intent & Instinct

Two groups. One stage. Zero impulse control. Scripted insanity meets improvised chaos. Intent & Instinct, a sketch and improv comedy show where jokes are intentional, choices are instinctual, and the result is anyone’s guess.Hosted by Reckless Intent, Kansas City’s all-queer sketch comedy troupe. With their trademark consensual sex and violence in the form of sketch comedy, each show brings together unhinged sketches with a different guest improv group making it up as they go along. For our inaugural show, we’re doubling down on the queer comedy with special guests U-Hollers, Kansas City’s all-queer improv troupe! Known for bringing queer joy to the stage, U-Hollers joins Reckless Intent for a night of characters, insanity, and comedy that unapologetically celebrates being yourself. Reckless Intent features: Julie Johnson, Jake Gillespie, Jessa Wiles, West Kester, Stella Garibaldi, Chloe Leczel, Colton Richards, and Ali Velazquez Only at The Bird.
