September Sewing Classes (Beginner to Advanced) 2026

At various days, times and skill levels from the basics of a sewing machine and simple projects to advanced patterns and upcycling. September Sewing Classes for Beginner to Advanced Skills by Stitching Change Registration is required. Please see below and on the calendar for details on days, times, and skill levels so you can find the right class for you. For anyone in the community, age 12 and up. $10 per session or $25 for three weekly sessions in a month. Note: We strongly recommend signing up for 3 sessions so you have enough time to learn and complete the project we've designed for you. Supplies and patterns are provided. Proceeds from the tickets support our community programs. Beginner to Intermediate Levels: Wednesdays, September 9th, 16th & 23rd Mornings, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM Afternoons, 1:30 PM- 4:00 PM You will learn: • The basics of a sewing machine, sewing equipment, types of fabrics, and measurements. • Using and cutting patterns. • Start sewing a simple product we've designed for the class. • Complete your product and take it home with you. Upcycle Class- Intermediate to Advanced Levels only: Requirement: comfortable using a sewing machine. Thursdays, September 3rd, 10th & 24th Evenings, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM You will learn: • How to redesign your outdated, thrifted or damaged garment into a fresh and stylish new piece. • Garment deconstruction, measurement, and waste-less creative styling. • Please bring a shirt (men's or women's) that is oversized for your body for this project.
