What the Flock? What Do We Know? You asked. The Beacon is digging in. This summer, a KCK reader asked The Beacon about Flock cameras appearing around Wyandotte County. We started asking questions, too. What do these cameras capture? Who can access the information? How long is it stored? How are the cameras being used across the metro and what oversight exists? Join The Beacon and Kansas City Documenters for a community conversation about what we know, what we still don’t know and what residents want to know next. We’ll hear from local officials and experts, take your questions and show how community tips, public meetings and public records can help uncover answers about decisions affecting your neighborhood. This event isn’t for or against Flock cameras. It’s about making sure KC metro residents have the information they need to understand what’s happening in their community.
