Music for Seniors FREE Daytime Concert with Karen Beecher

Memorable Movie Themes from the 1930s to 1990s Experience an array of human emotions throughout many memorable movie themes performed by classical pianist, composer, and educator, Karen Beecher. Known for her thoughtful and heartfelt writing and her fresh contemporary voice, Karen Beecher has composed numerous musical collections. She received her degrees in piano performance from the Peabody Conservatory and the Crane School of Music at SUNY and has performed with ensembles such as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Based now in the Knoxville area, Karen continues to perform, educate, and compose. Her work has been said to represent music that is as beautiful to hear as it is rewarding to teach. This concert will feature piano arrangements showcasing the twists and turns of the 1944 film, “Laura”, the comedic chaos in the 1952 movie, “Singing in the Rain”, and every other sentiment imaginable, such as the unconditional love found in the film, “Titanic”!
