Norris Halloween Trail 2026

Join us for our Annual Norris Halloween Trail on Sat. Oct. 24th (3:30 -5:40PM). Tickets are FREE, but limited. Reserve on/after October 1st. NORRIS HALLOWEEN TRAIL **(All Halloween Trail participants that WILL BE TRICK-OR-TREATING should register for a ticket. Parents, guardians, or others attending, but NOT receiving candy DO NOT need a ticket)** The Norris Recreation Commission is excited to present our 6th Annual Norris Halloween Trail on Saturday, October 24th between 3:30PM and 6 PM. Children are invited to trick-or-treat along this wooded trail for some spooky (but not too spooky) fun! This event is free, however all donations given at the event will benefit the Norris Recreation Commission. All Halloween Trail participants that WILL BE TRICK-OR-TREATING should register for this event by selecting a timeframe between 3:30PM and 5:40PM. Parents, guardians, or others attending the Event, but NOT receiving candy, do not need to register. This will ensure that we have sufficient candy, parking spots and that participants are spaced out to avoid crowding on the trail. Time frames are limited and sold out quickly last year, so be sure to reserve your tickets early. Children of all ages must be accompanied by an adult at all times on the trail. TRAIL INFORMATION This is a moderately wooded dirt trail located on a portion of the Norris Disc Golf Course. The terrain is moderately hilly with rocks and roots in places. It will be difficult, if not impossible for strollers or wheelchairs to access. All participants should wear appropriate shoes. Costumes that impede the ability to walk safely on the trail should be avoided. In the event of rain prior or during the event, the trail will become muddy. The trail can be casually completed in approximately 20 minutes. In addition, there is a “shortcut” to reduce the length for younger participants. COSTUME GUIDELINES We love seeing everyone’s creativity and can’t wait to see Norris dressed up for Halloween! To help keep the Halloween Trail fun and safe for children of all ages, we ask families to keep a few things in mind when choosing costumes: • Please leave realistic-looking weapons or weapon props at home. • Choose masks, hats, and costumes that allow for clear vision and safe walking along the trail. • Make sure costumes are a safe length to help prevent trips and falls. • Because little trick-or-treaters will be joining us, we encourage costumes that are family-friendly and appropriate for a community event for all ages. • Comfortable shoes are encouraged. PARKING While there is parking next to the Trail at Norris Community Building (29 Chestnut Drive), we encourage participants to park at Regions Bank (30 West Norris Dr.) and behind Norris Middle School. The Trail can be accessed by a short walk up Deer Ridge Drive and making a left on Chestnut Drive. 20 Chestnut Drive is the closest address to the Trail. The entrance is at the Community Tennis Courts, NOT Eric Harold Park. Feel free to drop off your party at this address and join them after parking.
