2026 Region 5 Art Awards & Annual Meeting

Celebrate the artists, educators, organizations, businesses, and community champions shaping Southwest Louisiana’s creative future. Join the Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana for the 2026 Region 5 Art Awards & Annual Meeting—an evening celebrating the people and organizations making the arts and humanities thrive across Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis parishes. This year, we’re doing things a little differently. We’re bringing our annual awards reception and Annual Meeting together for one big celebration of our region’s creative community. 2026 AWARD CATEGORIES • Emerging Artist of the Year • Artist of the Year • Citizen of the Arts • Citizen of the Humanities • Business of the Year • Arts & Cultural Organization of the Year • Arts Educator of the Year • Keystone Award From remarkable artists and educators to generous donors, dedicated volunteers, community-minded businesses, and organizations pulling off minor miracles through sheer force of will, this evening is about giving the people behind Southwest Louisiana’s cultural vitality their flowers. SPECIAL ACCESS FOR ARTS COUNCIL MEMBERS Arts Council members are invited to join us early for a special Member Mixer before the awards reception. We’ll enjoy drinks, connect with fellow supporters of the arts, and take care of the official Annual Meeting business—including voting on our proposed slate of new board members and officers. We promise to handle the boring business bit quickly so we can get back to the important work of celebrating, socializing, and raising a glass to everything we’ve accomplished together this year. Not a member yet? Join before the event to receive access to the Member Mixer and have a voice in what comes next for the Arts Council.
