Thrive! Union Poverty Simulation

Join us for an engaging experience that builds understanding, strengthens empathy, and inspires meaningful action in our community. What would you do if one unexpected expense changed everything? Imagine waking up tomorrow and having to make impossible choices: Do you pay the rent or buy groceries? Do you get to work or make sure your child has what they need? What happens when an unexpected bill leaves you with no money and nowhere to turn? Join us for Thrive! Union Poverty Simulation, an engaging and eye-opening experience designed to build a deeper understanding of what it is like to navigate life with limited financial resources. This is more than a presentation about poverty—it is an interactive learning experience that allows participants to step into the roles of individuals and families facing real-life financial pressures. Working through a series of situations, participants must make decisions about housing, employment, transportation, food, healthcare, childcare, education, and other basic needs while navigating unexpected challenges and limited resources.
