Carve a Clay Pumpkin at The Pottery Shop (DI & Durango)

A cute keepsake of the season Carve Something Spooky (or Cute) 🎃 Clay Pumpkin Carving at The Pottery Shop Give a handthrown clay pumpkin a cheeky grin, spooky face or a design entirely your own! Bring a friend, make it a date or enjoy some creative time alone. $25 for one pumpkin or 2 for $45. Ages 10+. Each pumpkin reservation includes: • A handthrown clay pumpkin to carve • Carving tools and supplies • Your choice of glaze color, applied by our studio • Kiln firing No experience needed! We’ll show you how to safely carve your design. This is a clay carving session; no pottery wheel is used. Timing & Pickup Please allow approximately 45–90 minutes, with some sessions taking up to two hours depending on group size and project details. Sessions begin and end at the published times. Pumpkins stay at the studio for drying, glazing and firing. Pickup is estimated at approximately four weeks and is not guaranteed before Halloween. Important Ceramics Disclaimer We cannot guarantee that your pumpkin will survive drying, bisque firing or glaze firing. Cracking, warping, separation, breakage and variations in shape or glaze may occur. Clay shrinks approximately 15% from wet clay to the finished piece. If your pumpkin does not survive the process, you may choose a finished piece as a memento of your session. Before You Register • Every guest must have a paid reservation. No spectators or shared projects. A two-pumpkin reservation covers two participants, each carving their own pumpkin. • Ages 10+. Sharp tools will be used; adult assistance may be necessary. Any accompanying adult must also have a paid reservation. • No cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours of the session. • No credits, refunds or rescheduling for no-shows or late arrivals. • Arrive 10 minutes early to check in and select an apron. • Wear comfortable clothing that can get messy. • Remove loose jewelry and rings, and tie back long hair.
