Full description from organizerShow less
Join artist and basketmaker Emily Ridings for an experimental basketry workshop exploring the possibilities of form, function, and weaving. You’ll learn basic basketry techniques and use them as a starting point for developing shape and structure. Rather than following a set pattern, you’ll be encouraged to let the material guide you in creating a piece entirely your own. Your finished piece can be functional, sculptural, or somewhere in between. No previous basketry experience is necessary, just a willingness to create!
