Originally from Omaha, Kurt Andersen has been documenting arts, culture, and politics in New York City for decades. In the spring 2026 issue of Prairie Schooner, Andersen wrote about Edward Hopper’s ROOM IN NEW YORK, the iconic NYC painting by Edward Hopper in the Sheldon’s permanent collection.
