The Frame: An Installation at Constellation Studios, First Friday

November 6 – December 24, 2026 First Friday November 6, First Friday December 4 A unique installation features The Frame, in all its varieties and bringing all the potential and nostalgia inherent in its purpose. Frames are useful yet often unsung or discarded, overly embellished or as a minimal construction. They have turned up in garage sales, vintage collections, being unwanted as art is changed out, or have served as art guardians. To consider this ubiquitous form and “side-kick” to art, we have transformed the gallery space for an ongoing installation of empty frames that invites additions and changes by the community. Join in to add to the installation in some way. Suggestions for your participation: bring in - or drop off - and add your empty frames to the installation; see how an artwork seems to claim a frame to be within; add your comments and surprises on the walls (we will have collage materials!); see local artists have fun including their artworks! Contributions come from members, friends, found in storage or right off the walls, and you are invited to join in our unique and playful installation, which evolves throughout the remainder of 2026!
