A Listening Session of Thriller By Micheal Jackson

This October, we announce ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson as our Hi-Fi listening session of the month. Released on November 30th 1982, & marked as one of the most influential albums in music history. Produced by Quincy Jones, the album was created during a period when Jackson was transitioning from a successful child star (Jackson 5, The Jacksons) into a major solo artist. Thriller blends pop, R&B, funk, disco, and rock, creating a distinctive sound that combines catchy melodies, powerful vocals, rhythms, and innovative production. The album produced seven Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and won eight Grammy Awards in 1984, including Album of the Year. Still reigning as the best-selling album of all-time. Changing the landscape of media across the board, a complete cultural zeitgeist that changed the music industry forever. There isn’t much to be said about this album that hasn’t already been said, this album is very dear to our hearts as to many of you as well. We will be listening to the album front-to-back on our Hi-Fi Sound System at the peak of our evening. Alongside the album, legends Monalisa & Phatrick of 'Motown on Mondays' will be selecting all the necessary MJ cuts to get us ready for the album. We are honored to have them grace our decks once more. We also have a very special guest coming by that we can’t announce just yet. Each ticket includes an exclusive album-inspired cocktail presented by Dolores Long Beach.
