A Rose in Winter - Advent Concert

Hear Rutter, Lauridsen, Biebl and treasured Christmas music in English and Spanish at this in-person Advent concert. Step away from the rush of the season and into an evening of beauty, stillness, and music. Presented by the Blessed Sacrament Music Ministry, A Rose in Winter is an Advent concert featuring a rich program of sacred choral music by John Rutter, Morten Lauridsen, Franz Biebl, and others, accompanied by live brass. The evening will include beloved works such as O Magnum Mysterium, Ave Maria, Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming, Candlelight Carol, and more. Whether you come for the music, the beauty of the season, or simply a moment of peace in the midst of December, we would be delighted to welcome you. Following the concert, guests are warmly invited to join us for a wine & hors d’oeuvres reception, featuring a handmade Christmas bazaar with seasonal gifts and creations lovingly made by members of the Blessed Sacrament Music Ministry. Parking: Complimentary parking is available in the church parking lot, with access from Selma Avenue at the rear of the church.
