African AI Film Festival - Inaugural Screening & Awards Night, Hollywood

The future of African storytelling premieres on Vine Street. Join us for the inaugural edition of the African AI Film Festival  the first festival dedicated to African and African-diaspora filmmakers using AI. One night, one room, the best of a new generation of cinema: A curated screening of the festival's official selection  short films, animation, and documentary made with AI at their core, chosen by a pan-African jury of award-winning filmmakers The awards ceremony including Best of Festival, Best Director, the Cultural Resonance Award, and Best Film by an African-Based Filmmaker A two-continent celebration - the festival continues live in Uganda on December 12 The films are judged by an international jury spanning Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria, and Uganda, guided by an advisory board that includes some of the most recognized names in African film and AI art. Seating is limited and RSVPs are reviewed  request your spot early. Run of show — Saturday, November 21 6:00 PM · Red carpet & reception (Lounge) Arrivals, red carpet photography, cocktails and bites. Meet the filmmakers, jury and fellow guests before the lights go down. 7:00 PM · Screenings (Theater) The top short films of the festival's inaugural year - selected from [350] international submissions - screened one at a time on the big screen. Every guest votes for the Audience Award during the program. 8:00 PM · Awards (Theater) The Audience Award and the jury's awards, including Best of Festival, Best Director, Cultural Resonance and Best Film by an African-Based Filmmaker. Filmmakers on stage. 8:30 PM · Post-show red carpet & networking (Lounge) Interviews, photos with the winners, and time with the filmmakers and guests. 9:00 PM · Close Presented by the African AI Arts & Culture Institute.
