All About Bulbs: Native California Blooms with Tim Becker — Nov. 20, 2026

Now is the moment to appreciate the lovely blooms that emerge from underground bulbs. Join Tim Becker, TPF’s Director of Horticulture, for a special class on California’s native bulbs—one of his favorite topics—while many are already in flower. The class begins indoors and continues up into the nursery to our beautiful newly dedicated bulb house, offering a rare opportunity to see these plants at their peak, a moment that may not come again this year. Attendees will learn through Tim’s enthusiastic admiration for these remarkable springtime rarities. Participants will learn about: • Seed and division propagation of bulbs • Culture and care in both containers and the ground • The botany and diversity of California’s native geophytes 📷 🌸 Bring your camera to capture the stunning expression of blooms that have taken years to reach this stage. Some of the bulbs you may see have taken up to eight years to flower.
