Balkanal!

The Last one was so much fun, we decided it's time to do another one! Balkanal is a portmanteu of the words "Balkan" and "Bachannal", a celebration involving ecstatic revelry named after the Roman god Baccus. Unite the energies of music, dance, and the unseen forces that drive us. Ancient melodies, multipart harmonies of voices, exciting instrumentation. Doors open at 7pm, music starts at 7:45 with small interludes, gathering momentum until we aim to extinguish it back into dust by around 11. There will be melodies from faraway places such as Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, Italy, Russia, a sprinkling of Klezmer, as well as originals and improvisations. Meet new friends and maybe bump into some old ones you havent seen in a minute. please note that this is a SHOES OFF spot
