Bring your costume, your camera, or both. Connect with local photographers eager to capture your character at its best. Collaborate with cosplayers you haven't met yet. Move freely between four studios for the full three hours and use the time however works for you. The content, the community, and the networking are all part of the same afternoon. COSMIX LA is organized in partnership with IRIS Interactive, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with deep roots in the cosplay community and extensive experience producing cosplay events across SoCal. Their mission is simple: create affordable creative events that bring cosplayers together to create, connect, and grow their craft. This photo mixer is part of that mission. Their team will be on the ground throughout the day, and they are bringing an established cosplay community with them — expect a full room of creatives. Studios Open During the Event White Steps & Piano Studio - Large daylight studio with white steps, a prop piano, and textured walls. Perfect for elegant fantasy, historical and theatrical characters, royalty, and editorial portraits. Wood & Brick Studio - Wooden platform with wooden and brick walls and an LED corner. Ideal for steampunk, urban fantasy, gritty realism, and characters with an industrial or handcrafted edge. Flower Rose Wall Studio - Rose flower wall with a bathtub. Made for magical girls, romantic and fairy tale characters, floral aesthetics, and soft fantasy portraits. Art Walls Studio - Large daylight studio with artistic textured walls, arches, a wooden corner, and a marquee star. A natural fit for theatrical characters, anime leads, and any cosplay built for a spotlight moment. The venue includes changing areas and dedicated space for hair, makeup adjustments, and costume prep between studios. Tickets Photographers — $30 Cosplayers & Models — $20 Duo Ticket for Two — $40 Trio Ticket for Three — $55 Duo and trio tickets are discounted bundles. If you are coming with a friend, as a photographer and cosplayer together, or as a small group, these save you money compared to purchasing individually. Duo tickets are discounted for ticket combinations like photographer + model or a group of two photographers. Early Access Add-On — $ 10. Arrive 45 minutes before the event opens. Use the extra time for hair and makeup, costume prep, or lighting setup. Who Can Attend Open to cosplayers, photographers, videographers, models, content creators, HMUAs, stylists, and fans. Cosplay is strongly encouraged but not required. All experience levels welcome. How It Works All four studios are open for the full three hours. Move between them freely, work with people you know, or connect with other creatives at the event. By default, attendees may photograph and be photographed. You may opt out at any time — please communicate your preferences clearly and respect those of others. Any model releases or image usage agreements are handled directly between participants. FD Photo Studio does not mediate individual arrangements. Everyone entering the studios must have a valid ticket. Attendees are responsible for their own equipment, personal items, and personal safety during the event. Our host will be on-site throughout to help with anything you need.
