CYBERCON: LOS ANGELES - Brain Dead Presents MTG Pre Con Commander Tournament

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR THE LOS ANGELES EVENT We're back again on November 15 with another installment of our Magic: The Gathering PreCon Commander tournament at Homage Brewing. No registration required to come shop the pop-up Brain Dead x MTG merch booth! DECK SELECTION: Participants will receive a Pre-Constructed Magic the Gathering Commander Format Deck from a recently released MTG product line determined by a spin on the prize wheel. Players will pilot this selected deck throughout the tournament. Card sleeves and deck boxes will be available for purchase on site. GAME PLAY: This competition will be a precon commander format tournament. Entry will get you one preconstructed commander deck from a recent expansion set. There will be three qualifying rounds lasting an hour and 20 minutes. Placement in a round will earn a player placement points, with 1st place earning the most points. The amount of placement points awarded will increase in each successive qualifying round. Each round after the first will have players of similar rankings play against each other. The four players with the most points at the end of round three will play against each other for the final round. If a match goes to time without an end to the game, winners will be selected using a bounty/achievement system to be tracked throughout the game which rewards players who make big splashy plays and advance the game state. While the first round will have no prizing, each successive round will have more and more exciting prize support. In addition to prizing for placement in game rounds, we will also be raffling away packs at random to players during the last round of qualifiers so stick around for the chance to claim some truly special prizes. FREE PLAY: Free play is permitted but limited to the second-floor tables at Homage Brewing. All downstairs tables are reserved exclusively for dining patrons. Additionally, any tables within the tournament area may be used for free play once available.
