DIY Recording and Mixing Fundamentals

Learn the essentials of recording and mixing audio (voice, instruments, field recordings)–no experience necessary! In this workshop, participants will learn and get hands-on experience in recording and mixing audio (voice, instruments, field recordings). The first half of the class will focus on a presentation covering essential techniques, vocabulary, and considerations for recording and mixing at home or on the road. The second half will be geared towards hands-on practice with condenser/dynamic mics and zoom recorders available, as well as pre-recorded samples to practice mixing with real-time feedback.
