Elsewhere Cinema Club: Jennifer's Body

A remix of the cult classic film Jennifer's Body through pole and aerial dance! Come with us to Devil’s Kettle! This November Elsewhere Cinema Club brings the 2009 cult classic Jennifer’s Body off the screen and into El Cid for a one-night-only immersive performance experience. The film plays from beginning to end while our performers step out of the screen and into the room through pole dance, aerial arts, movement, comedy, and character-driven performances inspired by the movie’s most iconic moments. Expect demons, questionable friendships, Y2K nostalgia, teenage angst, very bad decisions, and an indie-rock band that for sure cannot be trusted. Whether you’ve loved Jennifer’s Body since 2009 or discovered it during its well-deserved cult-classic renaissance, come experience the movie in an entirely new way. Elsewhere Cinema Club is where movies leave the screen. We remix the films we love into live, immersive performance, honoring the characters, stories, comedy, and weird little details that made us obsessed with them in the first place.
