Come one and all to a unique concert experience where seven professional musicians come to showcase and battle each other! Improvicelli NEXUS Join us for Improvicelli NEXUS, an interactive and engaging concert experience where the audience becomes part of the magic on stage. This is not just a show—it's a chance to be immersed in the moment and help shape the performance live! Preceding the show Improvicelli will be featuring a special presentation by the great writer Andra Knox at 5:30pm to 6:00pm with LIVE scripted Improvisation music by members of Improvicelli. There will also be from 3:30pm-4:30pm a String Improv Workshop in which string students will have the wonderful opportunity to work with some of the performers learning Improv basics for either violin, viola and cello. Limited space to 12 students. Come and join Andra Knox, an African-American writer and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the internal world—using his own experiences, spiritual riddles, navigating male ego and emotional landscapes to investigate the nuanced puzzles of being human. andraknox.com The workshop will consist of learning basic Improv from step one to four. 1) Choose a theme 2) Change the Rhythm 3) Repeat Notes 4)Omit notes The goal at the end of the session is students will create a mini jam from their training within the hour. This workshop is recommended for Intermediate to advanced level strings with ages as young as 10 and up. NO EXPERIENCE needed in Improv
