Full description from organizerShow less
A hands-on kids comedy class focused on taking an ordinary idea and giving it a funny surprise. In class, students will play a quick warmup game, look at simple jokes, and practice turning small everyday problems into silly exaggerations. Each child will have a chance to create one kind joke, practice it with a partner, and share if they want to. Passing is allowed, and Ash can read a student's line if that feels better. We will set clear ground rules around keeping jokes kind, listening to each other, and avoiding jokes about another child's identity, body, family, ability, or private experiences. The goal is for every student to try something and leave with a joke they can keep working on. No material needs to be prepared beforehand. Parents: class is $20 per child. Please RSVP ahead of time here so we have an accurate headcount. Cash is the preferred payment method at class.
