Oil Painting Class - Still Life Skull (Día de los Muertos Themed)

Calling all aspiring painters! Welcome to Artskool, a curated oil painting class hosted at the artists residence in the equestrian district of Burbank. Can't make it? See our schedule for more classes. 🎨 Feliz Día de los Muertos! In this 3 hour oil painting class we'll honor the ancestors by painting a still life of a skull and flowers. We'll go over the materials, how to build up the painting in layers, and color mixing. You'll also receive individual feedback and will be able to see a live demo of the process as well. I'll walk you through every step of the way! 👩🏽‍🎨 You'll learn the techniques of the Renaissance Masters as we create our very own masterpieces in the style of traditional realism. This is a great way to learn how to use oil paints and can serve as a jumping off point to develop your own unique style. 🖼️ By the end of our time together you'll have a beautiful painting to take home with you! 🖌️ No experience necessary, all supplies are provided (including aprons!) ​​​​Location This class is hosted outdoors at a private residence nestled in the equestrian neighborhood of Burbank. She has been working in film and advertising as an illustrator and storyboard artist for over 10 years. She studied traditional realism oil painting in Florence, Italy and fell in love with the craft. Her goal is to share her love of painting with anyone who’s willing to try.
