Americana. Thought-provoking. Joyful. From the heart. FRIDAY, November 13, 7:30 p.m., From the stunning Ripley Chapel. Live in person and live streamed. Ripley Presents is pleased to welcome Lisa Bastoni with Sean Staples: "Americana of the highest order, along the lines of Patty Griffin or Gretchen Peters" (Maverick UK) Lisa Bastoni (Northampton, MA) is a 2022 & 2023 New England Music Award nominee (Roots), 2020 & 2019 Boston Music Award Nominee (Folk) and winner of 2019 New Folk at the esteemed Kerrville Folk Festival. Lisa Bastoni’s most recent album, “On The Water”, was produced by Sean Staples, and recorded live over the course of three days at Zachariah Hickman's Greedy Beast Studios in Watertown MA. The album features Sean Staples, Rich Hinman, James Rohr, and Chris Anzalone, with special guest vocalists Mark Erelli, Kris Delmhorst, and Rose Cousins. “On The Water” is Bastoni's first full-length release since 2019's How We Want to Live. “The songs are beautifully played and consistently interesting, they are reflective and melancholic in places, but the overall feeling is one of expectation and contentment.” (Rick Thorn, Americana UK review, 2024) Lisa has opened for/performed with Lori McKenna, Dar Williams, Regina Spektor, The Secret Sisters, Teddy Thompson, Rose Cousins, Mark Erelli, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, and many more. “Let’s just say what we’re all thinking: New England, and especially Massachusetts, is a stronghold of singer-songwriters who excel at writing top-notch songs that make you swallow hard and wonder why your eyes are damp…Northampton singer Lisa Bastoni ranks among the best of them.” — Freak Scene review, 2024 Tickets are $20 General Admission - In Person OR Live Streamed and $5 for Students - in person or live streamed and are available For more information about the concert, please visit https://fcc-winchester.com/ripleychapel or contact Jane Ring Frank, Minister of Worship and the Arts or at [email protected].
