Come experience The Cambodian Spirit – a story of heritage, resilience, beauty, and renewal The Cambodian Spirit Explore the evocative mythology that underlies Cambodia’s traditional Creation Story through an immersive blend of Apsara dance, traditional Cambodian music, storytelling, and original orchestral compositions. The event features The Orchestra on the Hill, Angkor Dance Troupe, Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association, and Cambodian Living Arts in a collaborative celebration of Cambodia’s remarkable artistic heritage. In times of uncertainty, humanity is often tested. Yet even through fear, conflict, and division, we share a common hope: to find one another again. This performance explores that journey—from creation to conflict, and ultimately toward peace. Through original orchestral works and multidisciplinary collaboration, the series will illuminate the many threads that have shaped our nation—celebrating American culture as a rich and evolving tapestry woven from traditions, experiences, and voices from around the world. Our inaugural presentation, The Cambodian Spirit, embodies the vision at the heart of the initiative: bringing audiences together to experience Cambodia’s extraordinary cultural legacy through music, movement, history, and storytelling—and to explore how that legacy has become a vibrant and meaningful part of the American experience.
