Book Launch with Cathy Stefanec Ogren

Join Cathy Stefanec Ogren for a storytime and a book launch on October 24th celebrating her new picture book, "Winter Solstice Hill"! About the Book When clouds cover the solstice star, Ella continues the family tradition on wishing on a star on winter solstice in a new way. A warm, wintry tale that helps kids navigate disappointment, reminding readers that even when plans shift, the magic of tradition can still shine through. Bundled in snow clothes, Ella waits to join Gramps on her first winter solstice adventure. They go up Winter Solstice Hill, where they will pick a holiday tree and Ella will get to partake on the family tradition for the first time: making a wish on the winter solstice star. But when clouds hide the solstice star, Ella worries she will miss out on this important family tradition. Then a snow storm forces Ella and Gramps to cut their trip short. Will Ella be the only one in her family to not make a wish on the winter solstice star? Or will Gramps help her find a way? You can preorder your copy of Winter Solstice Hill in store, on The Bookery website (includes a signed copy of the book as well as book swag), or you can grab your copy at the book launch on October 24th!
