From the Global Stage to Campus: UMass Lowell at Conference of Parties 31

Hear firsthand experience from UMass Lowell’s Conference of Parties (COP) 31 delegation, ask questions and network with peers. Explore how lessons from United Nations (UN) Conference of the Parties can inspire research, education, community engagement, and personal climate action. As world leaders, scientists, and activists gathered in Antalya, Türkiye, for the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a delegation of UMass Lowell students and faculty joined the global conversation on advancing climate solutions. Join us as they share their firsthand experiences, insights, and reflections from COP31 — from the urgent negotiations shaping international policy to the innovative approaches driving climate action around the world. This interactive discussion will explore how lessons from COP31 can inform research, education, and action here at UMass Lowell and across our communities. Bring your questions and ideas for a lively panel conversation, followed by networking and light refreshments. For questions or more information please email: [email protected].
