Landscape Photography Workshop and Sunset Shoot

Learn about blending the technical & creative aspects of landscape photograpy. Put those skills to use in an onsite sunset photo shoot. Photography is often divided into two parts; the technical side dealing with f-stops, shutter speeds, and ISO and the creative side dealing with composition. While this is true, the two sides don’t exist independent of each other. How you set your f-stop and shutter speed can have a profound effect on how your photograph looks and how you compose your photograph may dictate how you need to set your camera. This workshop is designed to help the beginning and intermediate photographer bridge the technical and creative sides of photography. Participants will need a digital camera that has the ability to control settings (most do). Each participant will need to bring their camera to the workshop and ideally the manual for it, if available. The workshop will be divided into morning and afternoon classroom sessions and (weather permitting) a sunset shoot in the Flint Hills. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Participants will need to provide their own transportation to the sunset location.
