Wood Flower

Wood Flower brings powerful harmonies, blazing strings, and a fresh take on traditional Bluegrass. With OYO opening the show! "That's Grass!" Wood Flower’s combination of tight harmonies, driving banjo, soulful mandolin, ripping twin guitars all supported by a solid bass line are highlights that define this up-and-coming Bluegrass band. Their unique yet traditional approach to Bluegrass music was formed in the spring of 2022 between a music teacher and his former guitar student from ten years prior who had recently graduated from Berklee College of Music. Only two weeks after Wood Flower’s first public performance they were honored to open for The Seldom Scene, and have since shared the stage with such greats as Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Wyatt Ellis and East Nash Grass. They have entertained music fans at variety of festivals including Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival, Podunk Bluegrass Festival, Musikfest, Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association Festival, Basin Bluegrass Festival and at listening rooms such as Godfrey Daniels, Sellersville Theater and the Ardmore Music Hall. Wood Flower's self-titled debut album includes ten tracks, seven of which are original material and was released in the fall of 2024. It is available for purchase or streaming on all major platforms. What began as casual jams in the back of a print shop grew into a shared appreciation for story-driven songs and a stripped-down sound. From dimly lit barrooms to the footlights of festival stages, Oyo weaves together threads of folk, honky-tonk, bluegrass, and rock into a sound that feels both familiar and entirely their own. They’ve shared the stage with roots music heavyweights including Sierra Ferrell, Town Mountain, and Larry Keel, and keep carving out their place in the tradition of stringband music—with songs that nod to good times, wrong turns, and the long road home. Oyo trades off lead vocals between Aaron Martin (fiddle, mandolin), Cole Adair (guitar) and Michael Bond (guitar, keys, harmonica, spoons), with Bobby Rosenstock (banjo), Drew Tanner (bass), and Joe Ryckebosch (drums, washboard) joining in. Oyo take their name from the Iroquois word for the Ohio, meaning “beautiful river.” Like that big muddy river, Oyo’s music is fed by many influences and tributaries upstream. - Doors at 8 PM | Show at 9 PM Tickets: $15 All shows are 18+
