Drainage and Flood Mitigation 101: Funding & Technical Assistance Workshop

Connect with regional partners to explore flood mitigation funding, technical assistance and project development resources. Join regional partners for a Flood Funding and Technical Assistance Workshop focused on connecting communities throughout the Lower Rio Grande Valley (LRGV) Region with resources to support flood mitigation efforts. This informational workshop will provide participants with practical guidance on identifying funding opportunities, accessing technical assistance and advancing flood mitigation projects from planning through implementation. Participants will learn more about: • Flood mitigation funding opportunities and pathways • Planning tools and technical assistance resources • Project development strategies • Project readiness and funding preparation • Resources available to support local flood mitigation efforts The workshop will also provide opportunities to network with regional partners, foster collaboration and participate in one-on-one consultations to discuss local flood risks and potential project concepts. This workshop is being held as part of the Texas General Land Office’s (GLO) River Basin Flood Study (RBFS) for the Lower Rio Grande Valley Region.
