Clay Creatures: Animal Sculpture Workshop

Get ready to get your hands messy and turn a lump of clay into something full of personality. Join us for Animal Sculpture in Clay, a fun, hands-on three-part ceramics workshop where you’ll create your own animal sculpture from start to finish. Whether you want to sculpt an owl, fox, rabbit, turtle, or something completely different, you’ll be guided through the process step by step. You’ll learn how to build a strong form, improve proportions and anatomy, add textures and expressive details, hollow your sculpture correctly for firing, and finish it with glaze and decorative techniques. Workshop Dates: November 14, 21 & 28, 2026 Time: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM Location: JPITA Art Studio, 1101 Poinciana Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL Instructor: Jose J. Pita, MFA Ages: 18+ All materials included The best part? This is not a rushed one-day project. You’ll have three Saturdays to develop your sculpture, make adjustments, add details, and enjoy the full ceramic process. No need to bring supplies, just bring your creativity, an animal idea, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on. Come sculpt, create, learn, and have fun, and leave with a one-of-a-kind ceramic animal made by you.
