This session focuses on learning through play, strengthening strategy, reading the NMJL card more confidently, understanding game flow, and getting real-time guidance throughout the game and event starting the lesson with a bit of old school hand written work. Mahj & Coffee follows the rules of the National Mah Jongg League and is known for a more “purist” teaching style, helping you build a strong foundation and truly understand how the game is meant to be played. Expect a welcoming, social atmosphere with a little friendly competition, lots of questions encouraged, and maybe even your best mahj game yet ✨ Instructor Bio Emily Pearlson is the founder of Mahj & Coffee, a modern Mahjong community built around connection, confidence, and fun. Her classes are known for being approachable, beginner-friendly, and focused on helping players truly understand the game, not just memorize moves. 🀄️☕️
