Full description from organizerShow less
Bringing together artists connected to Latin America through birthplace, heritage, migration and sustained cultural exchange, the exhibition explores the region’s diverse histories, identities and ways of belonging. Through four interconnected sections—Embodied Histories, Gestures of Resistance, Symbolic Languages and Spaces of Meaning—the exhibition examines the body, social and political life, abstraction and the environments people inhabit and imagine. Together, the works invite visitors to consider Latin America beyond a single geography or identity. Participating Artists: Embodied Histories: Ana Segovia, Agustín Cárdenas, Lari Pitmann, and Adrián Villar Rojas. Gestures of Resistance: Claudia Martínez Garay, Teresa Burga, Tony Labat, and Mariela Scafati. Symbolic Languages: Fanny Sanín, Julio Le Parc, Alfred Jensen, Allora & Calzadilla, Loló Soldevilla, Sandra Monterroso, and Bubu Negrón. Spaces of Meaning: Alia Farid, Carmen Argote, Héctor Zamora, José Parlá, Kenny Rivero, Nietas de Nonó, Leonor Fini, Guillermo Kuitca, and Jorge Camacho. Dates: November 19, 2026–August 14, 2027 Hours: Thursday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m Admission: Free; walk-ins welcome.
