Orchestra Miami's 20th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate 20 Years of Orchestra Miami! Join Orchestra Miami for our 20th Anniversary Season opening concert and the start of our Pinecrest Classical series. Our celebration begins with the piece that began it all 20 years ago, Mozart's joyous Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, one of the most beloved and timeless pieces of classical music ever written. Next, we are proud to feature Concert Master Mei Mei Luo and Principal Cellist Aaron Merritt, as they join Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi at the piano for Beethoven's elegant Triple Concerto in C Major, Op. 56. The Triple is a genre-bending, unique blend of Chamber Music with the grandeur of the full orchestra concerto, creating an adventurous new sound which was virtually unprecendented at the time . Our dear friend Mozart bookends the evening, as we conclude with the dramatic Symphony N. 40 in G Minor, K. 550, one of Mozart's most celebrated and widely performed works.
