Halloween Village: Design Your Own Jack-O-Lantern

Get creative at Halloween Village! Carve a Jack-O’-Lantern during the October Night Market and help bring the Pumpkin Hut to life. Celebrate Halloween with Milwaukee Downtown, Baird, and Wisconsin Center District at Halloween Village and help bring the new Pumpkin Hut at Baird Community Commons to life! Grab your family, round up your friends, and get ready to carve! Participants of all ages are invited to create a one-of-a-kind Jack-O’-Lantern that will be displayed inside the Pumpkin Hut for the community to enjoy. Timing: 5:00–7:00 p.m. (or while supplies last) Where: Baird Community Commons Supplies: We’ll provide everything you need to create your Jack-O’-Lantern, including: • One pumpkin per participant • Carving utensils • Markers for outlining designs • Gloves • Garbage bags for proper disposal • A design description card to accompany your pumpkin inside the display Choose from a selection of stencils provided onsite or bring your own creative idea! All designs must be approved by Milwaukee Downtown staff onsite before being placed in the Pumpkin Hut. Registration: Advance registration through Eventbrite is encouraged. Day-of registration will be available on a limited basis and offered on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. All participants, or a parent/guardian for minors, must complete the required printed waiver onsite and must agree to have their pumpkin design displayed inside the Pumpkin Hut. Pumpkin Display After the event, your Jack-O’-Lantern will become part of the Pumpkin Hut exhibit and will be on display for approximately two weeks at Halloween Village. Milwaukee Downtown staff will periodically monitor the pumpkins and may remove any that begin to deteriorate before the end of the display period.
