MAGIC FOREST LANTERN PARADE

Gather after dark for a magical, all-ages procession of handmade lanterns, music, and light! Bring a lantern or simply come join the glow. Join us for the Magic Forest Community Lantern Parade, an evening celebration of light, creativity, and community at Zillman Park! We’ll gather with illuminated lanterns and set off together on a glowing procession through the neighborhood. The parade route is a 3-block loop down KK (sidewalk only) and back to Zilman Park, where we will close out the night. Expect beautiful lanterns, music, and great community! Everyone is welcome. Bring a lantern created at one of our community workshops, make your own at home, or simply come as you are and join the procession. You do not need a lantern to participate, but we encourage it! There will be a few lanterns available for use at the parade. The Magic Forest is a community art project built around the idea of coming together to shine a light in difficult times. Throughout September and October, community members of all ages have been creating lanterns at free workshops around Milwaukee. On parade night, all of those individual creations will come together! The parade is free, family-friendly, and open to all ages. Registration is encouraged and helps us plan for attendance, but there is no cost to participate. 🏮 Bring: Your lantern, if you have one, and dress for the weather. Costumes welcome and encouraged! ✨ Who: Everyone! All ages are welcome 💛 Cost: Completely free Come carry a light, walk with your neighbors, and help us create a little magic together.
