Swing Jazz Wednesdays: Troubadours of Rhythm (Free)

Swing Jazz Wednesday at The Argo — Troubadours of Rhythm brings vintage heat to the North Shore's newest live music space. Milwaukee's finest early jazz, pre-war blues and hokum musicianers. Troubadours of Rhythm is an ensemble led by Milwaukee legend Jon Mroz, dedicated to reviving the electrifying, micro-niche sound of late 1920s South Side Chicago. Drawing on the raw energy of rent parties, cabarets, and 35th Street nightlife, the band delivers music that is at once deeply rooted and vividly alive—danceable, virtuosic, and bursting with personality. With tight ensemble interplay, hot solos, and a wink of hokum humor. Swing Jazz Wednesdays are casual, welcoming, and all about the music. Come as you are, grab a seat and listen, or dance the night away. Join us for free swing dance lessons starting at 6:00 PM! Whether you’re a total beginner or just want to brush up your moves, this is the perfect chance to get into the rhythm before the show.
